Ashley Elusma, Visiting Student in Research with InterGEN for the fall 2016 semester, was recently admitted to the YSN Graduate Entry in Prespecialty Nursing (GEPN) program!  The prestigious YSN GEPN program is the first of a three-year, full-time course of study that combines preparation in basic nursing with advanced preparation in a clinical specialty. Ashley has been admitted to the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) specialty.

“I’m so excited to be accepted into Yale! As I prepare to graduate from Southern Connecticut State University with my Bachelor’s in Public Health, I feel eager and equipped to begin my nursing journey. I can’t wait to immerse myself in the beauty of nursing and provide the best care possible for ALL. One of my future goals in nursing is to pursue research in pediatrics. Thanks to all the wonderful people at the InterGEN Study for all their support! I truly appreciate it,” says Ashley.  Well, we truly appreciate Ashley and all her contributions to InterGEN.  We are so proud to see her embark on her nursing career and so happy that we get to see her at YSN for the next few years!  Congratulations, Ashley!
