Intergen in the Community

June 24, 2015

The Intergen research team has been working hard to spread the word about our study in the community.  Over the past 2 months, Intergen team members have been attended a variety of community events across CT from health fairs to spring flings to the International Festival of Arts & Ideas!

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the coordinators of these events and their willingness to support Intergen as we actively recruit families in our quest to better understand blood pressure in the Black/African American community.  Below is a brief list of the community events we have attended to date:

If you have an upcoming community event that you think would be appropriate for the Intergen study, please contact valen.grandelski@yale.edu or intergen.study@yale.edu with details about the event and for more information.  Family-friendly events related to health or wellness would be possible arenas for us to share more information about the Intergen study with the community as well as the importance of preventing high blood pressure, especially in Black/African American populations.

We couldn’t do what we do without the support and enthusiasm from our community and recruitment partners.  Thanks for all you do!
