Veronica Barcelona de Mendoza, PhD, MSN, MPH, RN, PHNA-BC
Dr. Barcelona de Mendoza is a public health nurse and has experience working in a variety of maternal and child health settings, including a local health department in Arlington, VA, as a consultant with PAHO in Latin America, and a local hospital in the UK. She has an MSN/MPH from Johns Hopkins University, and is ANCC Certified as an Advanced Public Health Nurse. She has taught in a BSN Nursing program, and completed her PhD in Epidemiology at Tulane University. Her research interests include perinatal epidemiology and health disparities. She is a postdoctoral associate with YSN on the InterGEN Study.
Dr. Barcelona de Mendoza worked as a postdoc with the InterGEN Study from 2015-2017 and as of July 1st, 2017, is an Assistant Professor at YSN. Congratulations, Veronica, and thank you for your valuable contributions to the InterGEN Study!
